Traditional qualities of the Third Eye or Sixth Chakra
The Third Eye
Alternative names: Ajna,(Agnya) Brow chakra, the meaning of this Chakra is ‘command’ this is particularly relevant as it is associated with the master gland of the body – the control center – the pituitary gland.

Physical associations; The Third Eye is linked with the pituitary gland in the body, which is a very important gland. Among other specific functions it helps to maintain a sense of balance and well being within you. It receives messages not only from the brain but from your senses, emotions and hormones. It takes in information and then relays out messages to the body.
In a way this is symbolic of the ‘bigger picture’ of this Chakra. It is all about your sense of balance and perspective, your wisdom, your sense of responsibility and how attached you may be to things.
